All meters will be read via wireless transmitters and receivers. The information will then be sent back to the Multifamily Utility headquarters and imported into our state of the art billing system. From there individual utility bills will be created and we will send them out either by mail or e-mail.

We collect all payments on your behalf and will send a monthly utility reimbursement check to the owner, manager, association manager or other persons in charge of receiving payments.

When it comes to resident and owner customer support Multifamily Utility is setting the standard. We also have bilingual agents available to assist those whose native language isn’t English.

The current laws in Hawaii allow submetering and Ratio Utility Billing Systems (RUBs) provided the owners are not making profits from billing the tenants for utilities.
There are some local utility providers that are exception to the above rule. They could prohibit the practice by imposing local tariffs.
