Meter Connection Sets

Meter connection sets and meter bars to facilitate installation of domestic (residential) meters.  A meter connection set includes (2) Meter Swivels, (2) Meter Nuts, and (2) Meter Washers.  

   
 

Automated Thermostats & Run-Time Controllers

The design of certain heating systems (i.e. central systems), makes installing individual meters or submeters either cost prohibitive or otherwise unpractical. This is where we use either automated thermostats and/or run-time controllers.

By measuring the amount of time a unit runs (and is delivering heat), and measuring any applicable temperatures, we are able to collect data on individual units to determine usage. By using the manufacturer's specs on the heating unit, and the time or time and temperature data, we are able to determine the individual unit's gas usage.

There two types of systems that typically used. The first type of system measures timing and is used primarily for Forced Hot Air Furnaces, Domestic Hot Water Heaters and Fireplaces. The second type of system measures both time and temperature and is used primarily for Baseboard Radiation and Fan Coil systems. Following are a few of the products we carry:

     
 

Comfort2 T-32-P

The T-32-P universal thermostat is a perfect mix of esthetics, intuitive operation and performance at an amazingly affordable price.  The T-32-P is compatible with most residential and commercial HVAC systems and is ideally suited for use with Comfort System zoning systems.

   
 

Comfort2 C2TL

The C2TL series thermostat allows the managers to set the temperature to the limits they want.  This allows you to use the same thermostat for both normal residential and elderly properties as well where more lenient limits may be required.

   
 

Digital Run-Time Converter (CPO-RTC)

The CPO-RTC device monitors, calculates and decodes run-time of a constant running device or circuit such as a gas or water valve, motor, machine, current switch, pressure switch, limit switch, light switch, etc. and converts the data into an accurate, periodic pulse output for connection to data storage and reporting devices. Stores partial cycle until the next operating period in non-volatile memory and adds it to the next cycle to prevent loses of accountable time.
Optional integrated optical flame sensor provides instant on/off and activation verification for non-physically connected appliances.  Optional temperature sensor integrates directly into the CPO-RTC for operational verification.
Output pulse compatible with virtually all metering reporting systems including Inovonics, Hexagram/Aclara Star Network, Speedread and Radiopath.
Compatible with virtually all electrical, mechanical or electronic furnace ignitions, fan coils, baseboard valves, and fireplace controls.

The exclusive temperature sensor provides instant on/off and activation verification for non-physically connected appliances.  It is useful in those applications when control voltage is not available for monitoring of valves and on hydronic systems to verify the presence of heat or cooling in the pipe before starting the timer.
